PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable which facilitates a tapping job in a short time such that, even if a sheath is removed in performing the tapping job of the cable, an internal optical fiber does not protrude, and the optical fiber can be taken out for the first time after a press-wrapping tape is opened by hand.SOLUTION: An optical fiber cable is constituted such that a plurality of optical fibers 2 are tied up in optical fiber bundles 4, a coarse-wound yarn 5 is wound around the peripheral surface thereof, further a press-wrapping tape 6 is longitudinally attached to the periphery thereof, and the entirety is covered with a sheath. In being covered with the sheath, the coarse-wound yarn 5 fuses by heat with an overlap part 8 at which both tape ends 6a and 6b of the press-wrapping tape 6 longitudinally attached around the optical fiber bundles 4 are overlapped. |
