The collar (40) has a metallic strap (41) comprising a pair of ends (42, 43) spaced with respect to each other in a circumferential direction. A rod (44) connects the ends of the strap while allowing an adjustable tightening function in the circumferential direction. A clevis (45) is integrated to one of the ends, and locks the rod. The clevis is disengaged from the rod, and unlocks the collar in an unlocked position. The clevis is engaged with the rod so as to oppose the unlocking the collar in a locked position. An independent claim is also included for a running flat device comprising a clamp collar.
