PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plugging device and a plugging method which can install a cap with precision.SOLUTION: A plugging device includes: a holding mechanism part capable of holding a cap installed in an opening of a specimen container which can store a specimen; a movement mechanism part for moving the cap; a rotation mechanism part for rotating the cap; a torque detection part for detecting torque during the rotation; and a control part for controlling the amount of the rotation of the rotation mechanism part on the basis of the torque detected by the torque detection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
