PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent division in the midway of a printing tape while reducing the operation labor and burden on an operator in a printer provided with a function for continuously generating the plurality of printing tapes without cutting.SOLUTION: A CPU of a tape printer 1 selectively executes: a normal printing mode of executing printing formation processing, first cutting conveyance processing for stopping conveyance at the time when the upstream side end in the conveyance direction of a first tape portion 103a faces a movable blade 41, and first cutting stand-by processing for waiting for the movable blade 41 to cut the boundary portion; and a continuous printing mode of executing the printing formation processing, and continuous printing conveyance processing for stopping conveyance at the time when the upstream side end in the conveyance direction faces a printing head 23. When communication with an operation terminal 300 is cut off in the state where the continuous printing mode is selected, tape conveyance being stopped is resumed with the continuous printing conveyance processing, positioning is performed with conveyance stop if the upstream side end faces the movable blade 41, and the stand-by state of waiting for cutting by the movable blade 41 is achieved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
