PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll sheet feeding device which detects a roll end correctly and quickly without adding a new mechanism inexpensively.SOLUTION: A roll sheet feeding device comprises: drive means 31; forward feeding mechanism 32 which transmits a drive force for delivering a sheet from a roll sheet from the drive means; roll sheet drive mechanism 33 which includes a load generation part 36 for applying a conveyance load to the sheet conveyed in the forward feeding direction from the roll sheet with a rotation load; rewinding mechanism 35 which rewinds the sheet to the roll sheet; and regeneration mechanism 34 which regenerates the drive force to the drive means with the sheet conveyed in the forward feeding direction. The rewinding mechanism and the regeneration mechanism are switchably provided in the rotation direction of the drive means, and the regeneration mechanism functions when the drive means rotates in the forward feeding direction and the rewinding mechanism functions when the drive means rotates in the rewinding direction to detect the presence/absence of the regeneration effect at the time of conveyance with the load change of the drive means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
