PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary clutch so as to enable a vehicle to which a side-clutch/side-brake vehicle steering system to always turn with a set turning radius irrespective of a change in road condition or the like, and to improve the durability of a side brake and the auxiliary clutch.SOLUTION: A vehicle steering system is configured in a manner that a side clutch 6L6R and a side brake 7L7R are provided in each of a pair of parallel drive trains for distributing a motive force to a pair of axles 4L4R, and the turning-inside side clutch is operated following the operation of a steering operation tool 11 to operate the side brake, and includes an auxiliary clutch 8 for transmitting torque between the pair of drive trains and making a joining force variable, an auxiliary clutch operation tool 9 for increasing the joining force of the auxiliary clutch 8, and a restraining mechanism for preventing the operation of the side brake 7L7R and the joining force increase of the auxiliary clutch 8 from being simultaneously carried out.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
