PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict load when a medium support unit, which is moved by drive of a motor, without relying on drive of the motor.SOLUTION: A recording apparatus 1 comprises: a medium support unit 2 movable in a moving direction A by driving a motor 27 and capable of supporting a medium M; a recording part 7 that records an image on the medium M supported by the medium support unit 2; and a control part 19 that, when recognizing movement of the medium support unit 2 without drive of the motor 27, causes the motor 27 to perform an aiding operation for aiding the movement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
