PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch capable of reducing the required number of unit switches.SOLUTION: An optical switch of N inputs×M outputs (where, N is an integer satisfying N=2n-1 or N=2n for a natural number n) includes an input section 100 having n sorting parts 110, and an output section 300 having three intermediate parts 200 and M coupling parts 310. The sorting part 110 outputs the optical signal inputted to a pair of external input ports 112, 114 to any one intermediate part 200.
