DRIVE METHOD AND DRIVE DEVICE FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL

A drive method and a drive device for a liquid crystal display panel. The drive method comprises: converting a first pixel signal of a picture to be displayed into a second pixel signal (S601); according to the second pixel signal and the first pixel signal, acquiring adjusted grey scales of various sub-pixels and/or the adjusted backlight brightness of a backlight plate (S602); and driving the various sub-pixels in a liquid crystal display panel and enabling the various sub-pixels to reach the corresponding adjusted grey scales, and/or lighting up the backlight plate and enabling the backlight plate to reach the adjusted backlight brightness (S603). By means of the device and the method, the brightness of an RGBW liquid crystal display panel cannot be decreased when displaying a pure-colour picture.
