PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe bending apparatus and method in which the efficiency of mass production can be increased by a simple work to shorten a time required for one bending work, and the bent part formed by the bending work of the pipe becomes the R of uniform inner diameter and outer diameter.SOLUTION: A pipe bending apparatus is characterized as follows: a semicircle part of the pipe before the bending work is held by equal pressure in a straight dice groove along the upper surface of left and right turning dice supported by a die cushion or a cylinder; also, a punch is lowered toward a space between the left and right turning dice; thereby, the outer circumferential surface of the punch presses the left and right turning dice while holding the semicircle part of the pipe exposed from the dice groove by the equal pressure by the punch groove formed along the outer circumferential surface of the punch; thereby, the left and right turning dice is turned by keeping a tangential direction forming a right angle to the radius drawn from the center in the R of the punch; and thereby the outer circumference of the bending formation place of the pipe is subjected to the bending work while a dice groove is fitted to a punch groove.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
