PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which has an excellent cycle characteristic and is superior in reliability.SOLUTION: A square nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 10 manufactured according to the present invention comprises: a flat wound electrode body 14 and a nonaqueous electrolyte solution housed in a square outer sheath 25. In the wound electrode body, a positive electrode plate 11 has a positive electrode core-exposed part 15 formed along its longitudinal direction, and a negative electrode plate 12 has a negative electrode core-exposed part 16 formed along its longitudinal direction. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution contains a lithium salt which makes an oxalate complex an anion. The area of the negative electrode core-exposed part 16 is 700 cmor more, and the area of the positive electrode core-exposed part 15 is 500 cmor more; the negative electrode core-exposed part 16 is larger than the positive electrode core-exposed part 15 in area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
