The invention relates to a mounting system for the installation of photovoltaic modules (8) in open spaces, comprising at least two stands (10) each having a post (2) that can be anchored in the ground at one end, on the other end of which a respective bearing rail (6) can be secured such that is is inclined towards the horizontal, wherein the bearing rail (6) is supported on the post (2) via a strut (5), as well as comprising photovoltaic modules (8), each of which has a module frame (9) and which can be positioned on adjacent stands (10). A respective detent connection is formed between the post (2) and the bearing rail (6), as well as between the post (2) and the strut (5), the detent connection being created in such a way that the bearing rail (6) and the strut (5) can be locked on the post (2) without a screw connection.
