A projector is provided with: an image I/F unit which communicates with a document camera; a projecting unit which displays, on a screen, an image based on captured image data received from the document camera through the image I/F unit; a position detecting unit which detects the position of an indicator with respect to the screen; and an instruction information transmitting unit which transmits, through the image I/F unit, a control command for making the document camera carry out a process based on an icon-related function, when an operation by the indicator on an area corresponding to the icon of the screen SC is detected on the basis of the detected result from the position detecting unit. |
