SURGICAL METHOD AND WORKFLOW

A surgical method and workflow to improve the efficiency of a surgical procedure by intraoperatively acquiring a digital radiographic image, processing the digital radiographic image, and using information based on the radiographic image to make adjustments during the surgical procedure. A checklist of parameters may be displayed so that the surgeon can confirm all considerations have been made for the surgical procedure.

1. A method of intraoperative imaging comprising the steps of:
receiving radiographic image data pertaining to a patient; displaying a visual representation of the radiographic image data on an electronic display; providing instructions to the user on the electronic display to mark the visual representation of the radiographic image data on the electronic display with at least one of (i) a measuring point, (ii) a measuring line and (iii) a measuring angle; upon receipt of a user's marking the visual representation of the radiographic image data with the at least one of (i) the measuring point, (ii) the measuring line and (iii) the measuring angle, superimposing at least one of (a) a superimposed measuring point, (b) a superimposed measuring line and (c) a superimposed measuring angle onto the displayed visual representation of the radiographic image data on the electronic display; and displaying to the user on the electronic display measurement information associated with the at least one of (a) the superimposed measuring point, (b) the superimposed measuring line and (c) the superimposed measuring angle onto the displayed visual representation of the radiographic image data.
