PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of an image defect because of supply failure in developer by suppressing supply failure of developer to a developer carrier following a decrease in a developer surface through endurance with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A developer exhausting port for discharging a surplus developer is provided on a wall surface of a development vessel at a side of a developer carrier as compared with the center of first conveyance means at a downstream side in a conveyance direction of a developer by the first conveyance means as compared with an area for supplying the developer to the developer carrier by the first conveyance means in a first chamber of the development vessel partitioned by a partitioning member, and a lower end of the developer exhausting port is positioned higher than the upper end of the partitioning member extended between the first conveyance means and the developer carrier.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
