PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide "a broadcast receiver and an output control method" capable of shortening the delay processing time and avoiding the lack of output data, when the broadcast of the second standard is switched while performing the delay processing of output data of the first standard.SOLUTION: When the voice data of IP broadcast is switched to the voice data of other IP broadcast transmitted via other route, while performing the delay processing of the voice data of DAB broadcast, a delay processing section 108 continues the delay processing until the output timing of the voice data of DAB broadcast is synchronized with that of the voice data of other IP broadcast. Consequently, the delay processing that was performed before the voice data of IP broadcast is switched is not interrupted, and the output timing of the voice data of DAB broadcast is synchronized with that of the voice data of other IP broadcast.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
