The present invention relates to an apparatus to control a secondary battery for a next-generation eco-friendly vehicle to manage a secondary battery equipped with a next-generation eco-friendly vehicle such as a plug-in hybrid car, a hybrid car, an electric bicycle, an electric scooter, a Segway, an electric vehicle, etc. For the purpose, an apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention controls switching devices connected to battery cells using an integrated circuit (IC) instead of high-power field-effect transistor (FET) to remove a heating cause, increase the voltage uniformity of the battery cells and remove a cause reducing a lifetime; enables replacement of a part where a failure occurs by making the use of battery cells having different output characteristics possible; and is capable of using an ultra-capacitor (UC) to accelerate driving of the next-generation eco-friendly vehicle in case of emergency. |
