The present invention relates to the technical field of communications. Provided in embodiments of the present invention are a multi-user transmission method and device. The method comprises: receiving a multi-user triggering instruction transmitted by an access point (AP); selecting, according to an allocated beam direction and an unallocated beam direction, a beam direction for adding a home terminal to a current user group; determining, according to the allocated beam direction and the unallocated beam direction, usefulness information of adding the home terminal to the current user group; and transmitting a current user group addition request to the AP. The present invention selects, according to the received multi-user triggering instruction transmitted by the AP, the beam direction and the usefulness information of adding the home terminal to the current user group, and transmits the current user group addition request to the AP, and the request carries the selected beam direction and the usefulness information, thus enabling an STA to select, according to a decision of the STA, a beam direction for addition to the current user group, reducing the resource consumption of the AP system, and enhancing a multi-user transmission efficiency. |
