The invention relates to a method for producing a saw tool (10a) comprising a securing region (12) for securing to a drive spindle and comprising an operating region (14) on which at least one blade (16) is provided. The method has the following steps: (a) providing a steel sheet which can be martensitically hardened; (b) detaching a blank from the steel sheet; (c) providing a press with a pressing tool for press-hardening the blank; (d) heating the blank to a temperature above the austenitization temperature; and (e) feeding the blank into the pressing tool and press-hardening the blank, wherein the blank is hardened at least in the region of the blank blade(s) (16). |
