1. A method of shaping hair comprising the following sequential steps:
(i) treating the hair by topical application of a hair treatment composition comprising a mixture of glyceraldehyde with an additional hair shaping active which is selected from citric acid or lysine; and (ii) mechanically shaping the treated hair; in which the combined level of glyceraldehyde and citric acid or lysine ranges from 4 to 15 wt %, by weight based on the total weight of the hair treatment composition; and in which the weight ratio of the glyceraldehyde to the citric acid or lysine in the mixture ranges from 5:1 to 1:2. |
