PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time it takes for a trader to place a trade in a case of electronically trading on an exchange, thus increase the likelihood that the trader has orders met at desirable prices and desirable trade quantities.SOLUTION: The "Mercury" display and trading methods of the present invention ensure fast and accurate execution of trades by displaying market depth on a vertical or horizontal plane, and the market depth fluctuates logically up or down, left or right across the plane as the market prices fluctuate.
