[Object] To provide a structure of an underrun protection that efficiently achieves weight reduction by forming lightening holes and also secures requisite strength and stiffness. [Arrangement for Attaining the Object] A structure of an underrun protection 10 bound to a plurality of brackets disposed at the front or rear portion of a frame of a vehicle characterized in that:
a hollow having a closed section is defined by a distal face of a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, a proximal face of the longitudinal direction, an upper face, and a lower face;
a plurality of lightening holes 61 and 62 are formed in line along an extending direction of the underrun protection 10 on at least one of the distal face and the proximal face; and
the plurality of lightening holes 61 and 62 have diameters in vertical direction set larger as departing farther from binder parts 11, 11 each at which the underrun protection 10 is bound to one of the plurality of brackets. |
