PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice making machine in which ice pieces made by an ice making mechanism are guided to an ice storage by a guide passage composed of a horizontal passage and a vertical passage, and a detection plate for detecting a full ice state of the ice storage is swingably journaled in the vertical passage of the guide passage, the ice making machine preventing dust included in air rising in the vertical passage from the ice storage, from attaching to journaling means for journaling the detection plate.SOLUTION: An ice making machine comprises a detection plate 50 including: a receiving plate portion 51a inclined to one peripheral wall of a vertical passage 30B as it goes to a lower end side, and receiving and dropping ice pieces guided to the vertical passage from a horizontal passage 30A; and side wall portions 51a and 51b extended to a horizontal passage 30A side from both side edges in the width direction, of the receiving plate portion. The detection plate is swingably journaled by journaling means 32 disposed between outer faces of both side wall portions and the peripheral walls 31a and 31b of the vertical passage opposite thereto. On outer faces of the side wall portions of the detection plate or the peripheral walls 31b of the vertical passage opposed thereto, guards for preventing attachment of dust are provided below the journaling means 32 in a projecting manner. |
