PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of a magnetic domain refinement capable of preventing a film from destroying even if a high energy beam is irradiated to the film under a condition of sufficiently obtaining an improvement effect in magnetic property, and not requiring re-coating of an insulating film, and also to provide a grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet manufactured by the method.SOLUTION: A method of a magnetic domain refinement includes scanning and irradiating a high energy beam to a surface of a grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet provided with an insulating film having a film tension of 5 MPa or more in a direction intersecting with a rolling direction after a finish annealing, to thereby introduce thermal strain regions. The magnetic domain refinement is carried out by irradiating the high energy beam while the compressive stress of 90% or less of the yield stress is applied to an irradiation surface by twisting/deforming and curving the steel sheet. |
