A camera (15) and an image processing device (100) are incorporated in a device having a display unit (10) capable of displaying 3D videos, and a user in front of the display unit (10) is photographed by the camera (15). The image that is generated is inputted to the image processing device (100), and the user's face is detected from the image by a preprocessing unit (102) and a face detection unit (103). An image selection processing unit (104) estimates the utilization status of the user by analyzing the features of the detected face, and selects a 2D or a 3D video on the basis of the estimation results. The selection result is provided to a video signal processing circuit (12), and a video signal for the selected video is outputted to the display unit (10). |
