SWITCH HAVING A QUENCHING CHAMBER

The switch (1) has two magnets generating a magnetic field (M) in a region of contact regions of switching chambers (11a, 11b) for exerting magnetic force (F) on flashing arcs. The flashing arcs are driven in a direction of extinguishing equipment (41-43) depending on a current direction (I) in the flashing arcs, where the extinguishing equipment extinguish the flashing arcs. A contact piece (30) of the switching chambers is arranged in such manner that the contact regions are formed in a line perpendicular to a motion direction.
