A washing machine (1) includes a motor (40) having an improved structure to enhance productivity and ease of assembly. The washing machine includes a main body, a tub (20) disposed in the main body, a drum (30) rotatably disposed in the tub, and a motor mounted to a surface of the tub to rotate the drum. The motor includes a stator (100) including a stator core (101) and an insulator (102) to cover the stator core, and a rotor (200) rotatably disposed either inside or outside the stator. The insulator includes at least one support protrusion (104) protruding from an inner circumferential surface of the insulator toward a center of the stator in order to support the stator core.
