Method, system and computer readable medium to schedule the processing of a plurality of data packets by a system, the said system comprising processing means and transmission means. The said method comprising a step of determining for at least one of the data packets a processing duration of the processing of this data packet, by the processing means, a step of determining for at least one of the data packets an available time slot when the processed data packet can be transmitted by the transmission means and a step of selecting the next data packet to process based on the processing durations and the available time slots.
