Provided is an electrical junction box that has a novel structure and that makes it possible to achieve an improvement in the assembling workability of a lock mechanism and an improvement in the space efficiency of an electrical junction box. The peripheral wall (30) of a box main body (12) includes a high wall section (32) and a low wall section (34) that are formed by the protruding end position of an end section that protrudes on one side of a surface (14) differing in the peripheral direction. At least one part of a lock section (36) that is provided to the box main body (12) or a locked section (56) passes over the low wall section (34) and protrudes on one side of the surface (14). In a state in which a cover member (16) is mounted and fixed to the box main body (12) via a lock mechanism (17), the distance between a covering surface (42) of the cover member (16) and the upper end surface (52) of the low wall section (34) that face one another is larger than the distance between the covering surface (42) of the cover member (16) and the upper end surface (54) of the high wall section (32) that face one another. |
