PURPOSE:To obtain an exterior trimming component of a writing tool which is corrosion-inhibitive and abrasion-resistant as well as which has a coat layer of a tint close to a golden color. CONSTITUTION:A golden hard compound layer based on titanium nitrate is formed on the surface of an exterior trimming component of a writing tool, and a golden coat layer of a gold/chromium alloy containing 0.05wt.% or higher to 5wt.% or lower of chromium content for a total amount of gold is formed on the golden hard compound layer.
