PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and a lens unit capable of resolving a problem of inability to produce natural blur because of asymmetric blur produced in horizontal and vertical directions in each of left and right parallax images.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: an image pick-up device having a pixel array that contains at least three types of pixels including, a non-disparity pixel having an opening mask for achieving a viewpoint in a reference direction, a left disparity pixel having an opening mask for achieving a left direction viewpoint, and a right disparity pixel having an opening mask for achieving a right direction viewpoint, with regard to one optical system incoming light flux; and an asymmetric diaphragm having a long axis in which many light fluxes are passed through in the right and left directions, and a short axis in which a few light fluxes are passed through in the up and down directions, in the middle of an optical system. The proportion between the long axis and the short axis of the diaphragm is set according to the density ratio between the disparity and non-disparity pixels in the pixel array of the imaging pickup device. |
