PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core wire 1 capable of preventing disconnection and plating peeling by a twist of a fixed abrasive grain type saw wire when cutting a work.SOLUTION: The core wire 1 is provided by laminating a backing plated layer 3 on a surface of a steel wire 2, and the backing plated layer 3 is formed of plating including brass, and an outer surface side surface layer part 9 in the backing plated layer 3 is made rich in Zn, and a steel wire 2 side bottom layer part 7 is made rich in Cu, and an intermediate layer 8 sandwiched by the surface layer part 9 and the bottom layer parr 7 is constituted of at least any of α brass and &bgr; brass. |
