PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anaerobic treatment apparatus capable of abating the suspended solid (SS) concentration of treated water and of maintaining the overall activity of a granular sludge.SOLUTION: A treatment target liquid including organic components is introduced, through the interior of a tank 1 past the lower portion of the tank 1 via an ascending stream, into a granular sludge bed G embodied by a granular sludge and formed in the lower portion of the tank 1 interior so as to decompose the organic components with the granular sludge, whereas, on the other hand, the sludge in the upper portion of the sludge bed G is recovered and inputted into the lower portion of the tank 1 interior by recovery/input means 6 so as to prevent effusions, to posterior steps, of carcasses of microbes and low-activity microbes and to abate the SS concentration of the treated water, whereas the overall activity of the granular sludge is maintained by providing, as a fodder for the microbes of the granular sludge bed G, organic matters inputted into the lower portion of the tank 1 interior (carcasses). |
