An apparatus for treating alkaline water comprising a first portable container 1 for receiving alkaline water, a second portable container 2 for receiving alkaline water from the first container, a portable neutralisation unit 3 with a neutralising agent store 1 and neutralising agent feed means 11 for feeding a neutralising agent from the store to the second container wherein both the containers and neutralisation unit are separate. The containers may be skips. In use, alkaline water is transferred via a pump from the first container to the second container. Neutralising agent, preferably carbon dioxide, is added towards the bottom of the second container using the agent feed means which is secured to the second container using a bracket 7 and connected to the neutralisation unit via a pipe. The device may further comprise a pH probe 8. The neutralisation unit may comprise a cage 15 for housing carbon dioxide cylinders and a storage compartment for storing the pump, dispersion unit, cable and piping when not in use. |
