The invention relates to a method for harvesting energy and to an energy harvesting system for harvesting renewable energy, comprising cultivation areas for producing renewable biomass, at least one biogas system for producing biogas, at least one combined heat and power plant for generating heat and electric power, at least one drying system for drying sludge and/or fermentation residue of the biogas system and/or biomass into mixed briquettes, and at least one syngas system for producing syngas. Biomass from the cultivation areas is used in the biogas system in order to generate biogas and/or in the drying system in order to produce the mixed briquettes and/or in the syngas system in order to produce syngas, and the heat generated by the at least one combined heat and power plant is used for the drying system. The biogas of the biogas system and/or the syngas of the syngas system is used to operate the combined heat and power plant(s), and the mixed briquettes of the drying system are used in the syngas system in order to produce syngas. |
