摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device for reducing a fluctuation amount of engine speed and suppressing temperature rise of an exhaust purification catalyst when executing stop and restoration of fuel injection to an internal combustion engine based on request torque.SOLUTION: An engine control device calculates a catalyst temperature of an exhaust purification catalyst, an ignition retard limit, combustion limit air torque and combustion limit torque (S400, S402), calculates request torque for an engine (S404), and sets cut determination torque as a threshold for stopping fuel injection and restoration determination torque as a threshold for restoring fuel injection so as to rise when the catalyst temperature rises and lower when the catalyst temperature lowers (S406). When the request torque is smaller than the cut determination torque (S408; Yes), a fuel cut request flag is turned on (S410), and when the request torque is larger than the restoration determination torque (S412; Yes), a fuel cut request flag is turned off (S414).
