PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkali metal-sulfur secondary battery which improves coulomb efficiency and has a long life.SOLUTION: An alkali metal-sulfur secondary battery 50 includes: a positive electrode having a sulfur-based electrode active material and a binding agent; an electrolyte which contains an ether compound represented by the formula (where, Rand Reach independently represents an alkyl group or the like which has a carbon number 1 to 9 and may be partly substituted by fluorine, Rindependently represents H or CH, and x represents 0 to 10), and the alkali metal salt and in which at least part of the ether compound and the alkali metal salt form a complex; and a negative electrode. The binding agent is an anionic polymer which is a polymer having an acidic group, alkali metal salt type polymer having alkali metal as paired cation of the acidic group or non-alkali metal ion type polymer having ions except alkali metal as paired cation of the acidic group. |
