PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a molding, above all a medical implant, excellent in terms of abrasion resistance, oxidation resistance, and dynamic characteristics.SOLUTION: The provided molding is manufactured by irradiating a molding including an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene and vitamin E with a radiation so as to cross-link the ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene and by immersing the molding within a radical scavenger solution so as to diffuse the radical scavenger within the molding and to scavenge vitamin E radicals formed as a result of the irradiation of the radiation. |
