PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a tubular member by which both side parts of a metal plate are suitably joined to form the tubular member when the metal plate having cut parts on the side parts is curved and the opposite side parts abut to each other discontinuously.SOLUTION: A metal plate 10 is curved, and straight parts 5a and 5b of a heating conductor 5 are faced proximately to opposite side parts 10a and 10b. The straight parts 5a and 5b are arranged in parallel along a longitudinal direction A1 of the side parts 10a and 10b. The side parts 10a and 10b are faced to the straight parts 5a and 5b of the heating conductor 5 sequentially by moving the metal plate 10 along the longitudinal direction A1. A high-frequency current is supplied to the heating conductor 5, and a high-frequency inductive current is intensely excited on the side parts 10a and 10b. Then, a pressing member 3 presses the metal plate 10 in a direction by which the side parts 10a and 10b come close, to join the molten side parts 10a and 10b. |
