PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hardness tester which allows a user to easily set an object lens suitable of measurement of test force and indentation.SOLUTION: A control unit 50 comprises: a test force calculation section 51 for calculating a test force to be applied to a test specimen on the basis of an estimated hardness of the test specimen input by operating a touch panel of an input display part 19 and a desired depth of an indentation; a movement control section 52 for controlling rotation of a revolver by controlling a motor 59; a test force selection section 54 for selecting a test force to be actually applied to a test specimen 100 from among multiple test forces preset to the hardness tester; an object lens selection section 54 for selecting an object lens for observation of an indentation formed on the surface of the test specimen after application of the test force to the test specimen from object lens 22 and 23 supported by the revolver; and a storage section 55 for storing various piece of data including hardness test measurement results. |
