The purpose of the present invention is to provide a cracking catalyst and method for producing the same with which a catalyst for catalytic cracking of an oil-containing biomass has excellent catalytic activity; shows no loss of catalytic activity, even with repeated use, and therefore has a long catalyst life; and is highly active in the catalytic cracking of fatty acids and therefore produces a cracked oil that is rich in light oil fraction and is of good quality in that it has a low acid value and a small oxygen-containing compound content. Moreover, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a high-quality biodiesel fuel having a low high-molecular-weight component content, a low acid value, and a high fluidity. The cracking catalyst is a catalyst for catalytic cracking of oil-containing biomass and has a structure containing two or more metal oxides from group 2A or group 4A, group 8, and group 3B of the Periodic Table. |
