PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rain protection device and a rain protection structure which can be installed by relatively simple attaching/detaching work and prevents a junction from being exposed to rainwater or the like.SOLUTION: A rain protection device 30 comprises: a shade part 31 having an approximately regular quadrangular pyramid shape of which the apex is truncated to form a top face corresponding to the quadrangular plane cross section of a column 12, with the open top face and the open bottom face of the approximately regular quadrangular pyramid; and a belt part 32 which has a length corresponding to the peripheral length of the quadrangular plane cross section of the column 12 and rises from the sides of the top face of the shade part. The shade part 31 made of flexible sheet-like material includes a rectangular chamfered face 33 having a short side corresponding to each side of the quadrangular plane cross section of a column 12, and a triangular covering face 34 which is formed between the chamfered faces 33. |
