PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-stage centrifugal compressor that prevents or alleviates heating of suction gas by compression heat from the gas compressed through a compressor.SOLUTION: A multi-stage centrifugal compressor comprises an integrated cast casing that combines an upper part and a lower part. The upper part includes compressor sections in a plurality of stages with a parallel gear reducer section arranged therebetween. In the lower part, a cooler is provided for each compressor stage and cools high temperature discharge gas compressed by each compressor stage. The coolers for the compressor stages have longitudinal directions in the same direction and are arranged from the first stage side to the last stage side in order. Arrangements of an input for gas discharged from each compressor stage and an output for compressed gas after cooling are different in the cooler aligning direction, and the inputs and outputs of adjacent coolers are arranged such that the inputs are adjacent to each other or the outputs are adjacent to each other in the cooler aligning direction. |
