The method involves storing both half images of a received low resolution video signal in a memory and reading signals representing both half images twice from memory to form the two half images without line jumps, whereby the sequence of transferring the weighted sub-intervals and/or the activation sequences of the sub-intervals during the period of a full image are controlled so line and large area flicker are reduced. Independent claims are also included for the following: a television set with a pulse width controlled image display. |
