PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular deceleration energy regeneration system that has an electrical double-layer capacitor connected to a vehicular power supply via a bidirectional DC-DC converter and includes current control means for controlling the charge/discharge current of the electrical double-layer capacitor, with a novel configuration of optimizing the minimum discharge voltage of the electrical double-layer capacitor to increase a regeneration power value, thereby improving a deceleration energy regeneration and the effectiveness of reusing the regenerated power.SOLUTION: A system includes voltage-down detection means for detecting an event of a voltage of auxiliary power storage means reaching a predetermined discharge lower limit voltage so as to stop the operation of a DC-DC converter discharging the auxiliary power storage means. Further, the discharge lower limit voltage is set at a voltage value to maximize a regeneration power volume in a desired driving pattern that specifies changes in vehicle speeds in relation with a vehicular driving time progress. |
