PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device, for a vehicle mounted with an automatic transmission, capable of appropriately executing speed change control of the automatic transmission during execution of coasting control.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device comprises: an automatic transmission which transmits power between a drive power source and drive wheels; a clutch mechanism which selectively connects or disconnects a drive power transmission route between the drive power source and the drive wheels; and execution means which executes coasting control to allow a vehicle to coast by disconnecting the drive power transmission route when a predetermined execution condition is met while the vehicle travels. The vehicle control device has adjustment means (steps S8 to S10) which starts the coasting control after completing speed change control when the execution condition for the coasting control is met during execution of the speed change control with the automatic transmission. |
