A cone crusher 1 has bowl and mantle wear liners 10, 20 with protrusions 30. The protrusions 30 may reduce the contact surface area, and increase contact stress, causing an improved rate of work hardening of the material from which the bowl liner 10 and mantle liner 20 are made. This is in comparison to liners without protrusions 30. The protrusions 30 may come in a variety of shapes (fig.4). The particular material from which the liners 10, 20 may be made, may be austenitic manganese steel. |
