[Class 8 (ii)] [Also in Groups IV and XVII] A pressure storage vessel is formed of homogeneous thermoplastic material and is reinforced by a winding of wire which may be coated. The vessel may be formed of sections jointed longitudinally or zonally and may be fitted with a lining also in sections, the joints being out of line. The material of the vessel may be polymethyl methacrylate or polymerized styrene. The joints may be cemented by polymethyl methacrylate powder dispersed in the monomethyl ester with addition of chloroform &c. The vessel may be coated with metal before winding and after application of an anti-corrosive such as a syrup of urea-formaldehyde resin or a solution of cellulose acetate. The wire may be coated with rubber or resin such as polyvinyl or polystyrene or cellulose acetate.
