PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery of which the inside is still hard to generate heat even in an abnormal case such as battery collapse owing to an impact from outside.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 1 comprises: an electrode body 20; a nonaqueous electrolyte; a container 10; and a wiring material 17. The electrode body 20 has a positive electrode 21, a negative electrode 22 and a separator 23. The negative electrode 22 is opposed to the positive electrode 21. The separator 23 is disposed between the positive electrode 21 and the negative electrode 22. The nonaqueous electrolyte includes lithium bis(oxalate)borate (LiBOB). The container 10 contains the electrode body 20 and the nonaqueous electrolyte. The container 10 is provided with terminals 13 and 14. The wiring material 17 connects the terminals 13 and 14 with the electrode body 20. The wiring material 17 has an axial transverse section of 1.5 mmor larger.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
