PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a solid ion capacitor which has good cycle characteristic, and which enables the achievement of a large electrostatic capacitance while being compact in size by using a thin film of solid electrolyte.SOLUTION: A solid ion capacitor comprises a solid electrolyte 1, and a positive electrode 2a and a negative electrode 2b which are formed on opposing principal faces of the solid electrolyte 1 respectively. It is preferable that the solid electrolyte 1 is formed in a thin film body of 200 μm or less in thickness, and includes a compound capable of conducting ions such as Li ions. The solid ion capacitor further comprises ion conducting substance layers 3a and 3b including an ion conductive element such as Li, e.g. metal Li layers, which are interposed at interfaces of the solid electrolyte 1, and the positive electrode 2a and the cathode 2b. Preferably, the ion conducting substance layers 3a and 3b have a thickness of 50-100 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
